FOR OUR YOUNGEST STUDENTS

COORDINATION
AND BALANCE

Your child's motor skills are rapidly developing and we are here to hone and nurture those skills with more complex movements than they may experience outside martial arts training. You can expect to see an improvement in your child's coordination, balance, and

overall body awareness.

MEMORY
RETENTION

As your child begins school, they'll begin to need to memorize all kinds of information from their ABC's to their 123's. At MegaKick, they will be expected to learn and memorize proper form, Korean terminology, and the names of their instructors and fellow students.

FOCUS AND CONCENTRATION

Due to the nature of Tae Kwon Do training, our students are compelled to listen actively and watch their instructors closely so that they can learn the skills needed to progress through the Tiny Lions program. As a result of these mental muscles being regularly flexed, children will get a boost in their ability to focus.

GOAL
SETTING

One of the exciting things about studying a martial art is how easy it is to set realistic, attainable goals. This isn't something most 4-6 year olds are put in the position to do, but during their studies, they will learn how to set both short term (achieve a new belt level) and long term (become a fifth degree Black Belt like Master Kim) goals.

CONFIDENCE
AND AUTONOMY

As Tiny Lions progress from skill to skill and belt to belt, they begin understanding how good it feels to independently overcome challenges. They quickly learn that they are capable of big things all on their own. Finding power in their own strength and voice equates to a huge boost in the early sense of self confidence, self pride, and autonomy.

OVERALL
WELLNESS

Studies have shown time and time again the importance of movement for healthy child development. Being active reduces stress, boosts mental health, burns extra energy, improves cardiovascular health, and builds muscles and strong bones.
